I did not make notes of it as it anyway pretty concise and basically in notes format. However the main reading for this topic was from Spectrum’s A Brief History of Modern India. NCERTs had covered some part of this, but my main intent with NCERTs was to get all the worthwhile information that is currently being used to stump us in prelims. If I were to prepare again, I would skip NIOS and do selective Nitin Singhania instead. From mains perspective, the questions in recent years have become analytical and will require you think on your feet. Keep revising sincerely and hope you get the questions right on prelims day (I didn’t). You will struggle to remember names of poets during Gupta empire even on your sixth revision. There is no dearth of resources, yet no amount of reading gets you confident in this one. This topic is a bane of preparation for many of the aspirants, including yours truly. TN state board history class 11 (complete) and class 12 (only upto medieval).Indian culture will cover the salient aspects of Art Forms, literature and Architecture from ancient to modern times. ![]()
